Meet the Team
Theresa Bay – Manager
Theresa Is the Pre-school manager and has held the position since Noah’s Ark opened in January 2003. She has worked in early years since 1997 and also hold the position of Safeguarding Officer. Theresa holds a Level 4 qualification in Early Years Practice and also has a SENCO accreditation Level 3 qualification as well as a Level 3 Paediatric certificate. Although Theresa holds the position of Manager, she is still actively involved in the day to day activities with the children. She is immensely proud of her team who all work incredibly hard and supports them with their individual roles.
Julie Edwards – Business Manager
Julie has been involved with Noah’s Ark since the very beginning. She initially worked in the pre-school as a pre-school assistant and then took over the role of administrator shortly afterwards. Julie’s role is vital for the running of the pre-school as she deals with the finance, waiting lists and funding.
Sasha Dempsie – Deputy Manager / Step Ahead Manager
Sasha holds a Level 3 Diploma in Pre-School Practice, a Level 3 in Safeguarding and a Paediatric first Aid certificate. Sasha has been part of Noah’s Ark since we opened in 2003 as all her four sons have attended. Sasha helped out on the committee until she joined the staff team, firstly as a volunteer and then as a permanent member of staff in 2015. Sasha is in charge of all our art and craft supplies and our display boards.
Amy Lee – Pre-school Assistant / ENCO
Amy holds a Level 2 certificate in childcare, a Level 2 Safeguarding certificate and Paediatric first aid training. Amy also joined the staff team in January 2019 having had previous experience at another setting. Amy also holds the position of ENCO (Equality Named Co-ordinator) and as our 2-Year Co-Ordinator.
Carley Clare – Pre-school Assistant
Carley joined us in September 2021, having worked as a volunteer in a Nursery which her son attended. Carley holds a Level 2 certificate in childcare, a Level 2 Safeguarding certificate and Paediatric first aid training.
Rachael Jones – Pre-school Assistant
Rachael joined our staff team in September 2024. Rachael holds a Level 2 certificate in childcare and a Level 2 Safeguarding certificate.
Ali Handling – Pre-school Assistant
Ali joined our team in September 2025. Ali holds a Level 2 certificate in childcare, a Level 2 Safeguarding certificate, Prevent Duty and Paediatric first aid training. She is very familiar with our setting as her 2 children both attended Noah’s Ark. We are delighted to welcome her to the staff team
Donna King – Relief Pre-school Assistant
Donna holds the position of permanent relief. Donna’s daughter attended Noah’s Ark and Donna joined us as a volunteer and has been helping out for the last 11 years. Donna Holds a Level 2 Safeguarding certificate.
